LED halogen lamp replacement

I’m attempting to upgrade my halogen torchiere to LED. I think the technological innovation is just obtaining great adequate for this to be feasible, though it really is still fairly high-priced.
I’m making use of 12 Cree XP-G neutral white LEDs, will drive them at 1.4A for about 60W to replace the 300W halogen. This must give me about 4500 lumens, which should be about as vivid as the halogen was.
The heatsinking is the greatest hurdle. I am sort of new to this, but I think this heatsink+fan from an Intel Xeon CPU should do the occupation. I assume the heatsink is rated for about .five C / W with the fan running at 12V (this is rather back of the envelope, so proper me if this sounds ludicrous).
I ordered a 60W continual existing AC/DC supply from MeanWell. I think it should work and I’ll just use a beefy resistor to put the fan in parallel (rated for 200 mA at 12 V).
Also planning to place a fuse on the fan line so that the fan electronics don’t explode if existing through the LEDs is blocked. And preparing to place a thermal fuse (switch?) into the LED line close to one of the LED anodes to attempt to kill latest if the LEDs get too hot.
