I had a retaining wall/planter constructed by our development’s landscape company, and they proceeded to fill it with five yards of compost.

I planted rosemary in the far corners and the scraggly bushes will develop into large lavender plants.

Property Depot had a sale above Easter Weekend, so I bought about worth of plants, and a few pansies.

What I like most is the bamboo fountain in the center back. It’s surrounded by a selection of decorative grasses, each and every anchored by a handful of river rock.

The finishing touch is a smattering of landscape lights focused on the rosemary, with two tier lights in every of the cut-out places on either side of the cobblestone patio. An additional light illuminates the fountain.

This is my significant house imporvement project of the year, and the charges had been as follows:

Retaining Wall/Planter: .00
Compost: .00
Plants: .00
Fountain: .00
Lighting: .00
Rock: .00

Total: 5.00

The fountain and surrounding landscape lights up with numerous colors and in sync with a soundtrack to make it seem fairies are at work. The light show transpires each so frequently.

We had some quite nice aurora displays on Vigra tonight. Even the snowstorms that have been raging around here stopped for about two hrs so I could get some images.
Didn’t support so significantly with the fact that I managed to set the concentrate wrong for all shots I took whilst the aurora was most active and interesting…

Landscape Lighting–: Why does it matter if my landscape lighting transformer is on a wall or not?
I just lately just purchased these gorgeous landscape lighting for my garden but when I installed my transformer it stated I should drill two screws into my wall and hang the transformer up on that. Just curious, why can’t I just use 3 bricks and assistance it below the transformer and have the back element of it lean against the wall? Why do I have to drill 2 holes? Is not it practically the same issue? It is not sitting on the ground or anything…

I lastly got to see some Northern Lights in Sunnmøre. It was an unexpected outburst of activity. However, it also disappeared once again rapidly so I did not get a possibility to go out a second time and discover a suitable landscape setting as a stage for the sky show.
Maybe next time…

Great raised garden. Wonderful idea for those of us with a disability and who still love to garden.

  3. mikeg626 says:

Thanks. Actually it was more to do with the quality of the soil in the garden area. The entire development was built on graded rock with about 2 inches of soil over it. If you decide to do it yourself, please consider hiring a truck to come to your house and blow in dirt/compost. It took 5-6 yards of gravel and a lot of shoveling and advil to fill up that thing!

    Hi James!
Aranjuez is a Royal Village of the Bourbons: it’s full of trees!!!
    Here is a sample:
    Paseo del Rey

And I’ll tell you something most people don’t know:
Madrid is the city with the biggest number of trees per surface in europe. It’s quite green, paradoxically…

Although I prefer Aranjuez (and Naples and Frankfurt) to live in…

  13. JAD Snippets says:

Ruben, I am surprised that Madrid has so many trees!
