This pedestrian bridge crosses Lady Bird Lake at Lamar Boulevard in downtown Austin. This angle doesn’t really show it but it’s a quite interesting design and style with two "lanes" which separate on every single finish. In the centre, over the lake, is a sitting place with landscaping.

This is a 3 exposure HDR that I processed to look rather more natural than most of the HDRs I’ve been doing lately. I suspect the soft light is just a side effect of the settings I was using since I don’t remember there being any mist around to create the effect that you point out. Depending upon how big-headed I’m feeling it’s either a result of post-processing skill or blind luck

Bruce, there’s no intentional Orton in this image but the HDR processing has given it a bit of the softness that you would expect from an Orton effect image. Maybe I should try another version to emphasise this?

The rest of y’all, thanks for coming by and commenting! I am working on about six that have my son opening gifts and people at his party. Since almost all were without flash, it is really tough work to try to save some. But even in the dark, I’ve found some gems. More later, but more likely tomorrow…
