Q&A–: We are renting a home that has NO overhead lighting! Any ideas other than floor/table lamps?
There are hooks exactly where they have some circa 1970 plug in “chandeliers” but they are terrible. Wondering if there were other plug in overhead possibilities. Table and floor lamps strain my eyes. Thoughts on track lighting????

if this is an apartment type house, the ceiling is concrete and there is no location to place the wiring…..
or the owner got tired of renters leaving and taking the light fixtures with them….
there’s really no ‘need’ for overhead lighting… tends to make your face ugly….. *smile*…..
