Question–: Why wont the bathroom lights turn on?
My colleague turned the lights on in the bathroom at work (via a push button switch) and during his visit, the 3 lights and the fan went out, including a separate pull cord light. The breaker hasn’t tripped and the bulbs are fine. i thought it may be the light switch but if that’s so…..why doesn’t the pull cord work? PLEASE HELP!!

unless we see a picture of the entire thing we cant tell. and even then only those of us who have experience dealing with that kind of fixture would be able to tell. call an electrician

Did you check the little button on the outlet that says reset? How about the main breakerbox?
If it’s nether of those things you’ll need ether an electrician or someone smarter than you.

The whole circuit could be going through the switch. If you don’t have the tools or knowledge to check out call a electrician for repairs.

Electricity is dangerous, you should call an electrician to fix it.
There’s a problem in the circuit and or some of the fixtures are
causing the problem, but maybe there’s a wire loose in the plate
switch connection make sure the electricity is OFF if you will look
into the plate I would first find what is the breaker that controls the
lights to the
bath room and flip it off and on a couple of times just because
sometimes they don’t look like they have tripped but they did.

Did you check to see if there was another breaker that you might of missed some homes have a ground fault switch located in a different switch or perhaps a outlet plug in. I would turn off the breaker and then tr to turn it back on just to make sure.

Check your ground fault switch to see if its tripped, then check your lights and switches again.You can also flip your breaker off and on again.

If the switch happened to malfunction when it was in the off position then you don’t have power going past the switch to the fixtures. It could also be a defective breaker or a break in the wiring which is interrupting the current but not causing a short. A qualified electrician or even a qualified handyman could check the switch and breaker. If you don’t understand electricity, call a pro.

If it’s a bathroom at work there’s likely a GFI involved.
See if it needs to be reset.
If it’s a receptacle there will be a ‘reset’ button.
If there’s a breaker it neds to be cycled off then on, then press reset.
Whatever caused the problem may cause it to trip again imediately.
Listen carefully for that. If that happens there’s another problem.
